Overnight Ramp Storage Criteria

Aircraft may be left outside overnight only if all of the following conditions are met by approximately 9:00 PM (to allow for repositioning if weather changes):

  • Sustained winds ≤ 10 knots
  • 0% chance of precipitation overnight
  • No thunderstorms or convective activity forecast within 25 NM
  • Weather forecast reviewed using all available sources, including:
    • aviationweather.gov
    • TAFs (KFCM and surrounding)
    • Apple Weather or other reliable consumer apps
  • Aircraft is not a Cirrus
  • Aircraft is scheduled to depart before 8:00 AM
  • Aircraft is properly secured

Important: Use best judgment. If anything looks questionable, hangar the plane. Better safe than sorry.

Tonight’s Stack

How to read this:
  • Leave out (gold) — early birds eligible to stay out for an early departure tomorrow. Mark Fueled / Left Out, then Confirm. Don’t hangar these.
  • Put away — on the line now with nothing left today. Tap Put Away to move it back to the hangar (it reappears on the Line Board if a reservation pops up).

Early-bird rules: 152 / 172N, departing tomorrow at or before 8:00 AM, arrived today at or before 9:30 PM. “Should Fuel?” = instructed flight on a 172N. Auto-refreshed at 4:00 PM Chicago — click Refresh Now if the schedule changed.
